It’s Snowing!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized - Administrator @ 5:19 pm

Olivia carried on with her bag this morning, then we had an outing to the theatre with our home-ed group this afternoon. Jolly good it was too. ‘The Ship With Three Decks’ by a small company of three at the local arts centre. It’s where Olivia has her drama class on a Wednesday evening. It seemed odd to be there earlier.
It started on a bit of a creepy note and one of the little girls didn’t like it much, so they left early. The rest seemed to enjoy it though. Olivia wasn’t overkeen when the goblin king got splashed with the Water of Life, which is really, really bad for goblins. Their stomachs turn inside out and their brains gush out through their noses. Hmmm……technically, I suppose it is a tad gruesome. It was his just rewards for stomping on and squashing the Ant King who had helped the champion Lucius Cornflower! But the Water of Life miraculously revived him. Hooray!!! Guess you had to be there, honestly, it was good, very cleverly done with some great effects. We’ll be looking out for their next production.
We did a little more shopping after…. grumble, grumble, grumble. We got a huge bunch of mistletoe, chestnuts for roasting, a mini punchbag for Adam, ginger beer for Olivia, wine (ahem) for me.
But guess what? Guess what?!? Bet you can’t!! It was snowing!! Yes! Really snowing!! Oh joy! Oh bliss! How exciting!!!
OK, it was only a snow machine on the top of the shopping centre, but it might as well have been real for all the excitement amongst the kids, jumping and running about in it! And plenty of adults too! Lots of photos being taken, but I’d left mine at home… doh!
We got home and hung our Christmas cards up and that was about it really today. Bit of a sudden ending, but I’m desperate to roast some chestnuts!
